Acrylic is for small items in supervised rooms. It scratches, it does not like impact, and clear panels put the contents on show — which is the point where staff check occupancy, and an invitation in an unsupervised public room. Specify translucent or opaque acrylic where contents should stay private, and steel where nobody is watching and what is inside is worth taking. It is sized for small items: bags, helmets and laptops belong in a steel locker.

A wall that takes fixings for a wall-mounted unit, a desk or counter with room for a desktop one, or a level floor for a freestanding one. Key and combination locks need no power, and the electronic PIN lock runs on a battery in each door — so there is no socket, no cabling and no connection to the site's LAN.
